Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. Gains a Foothold in Switzerland and the EU with Certified Organic CBD

TORONTO, ON — October 25, 2018 — Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. (GCI Corp.) signed a letter of intent with Switzerland-based Zitronic Hemplements AG for the production and distribution of certified organic cannabidiol (CBD), a naturally occurring compound of cannabis with many potential therapeutic benefits.

Zitronic is an industrial research and development company that specializes in the cultivation and production of certified organic hemp products. Founders Jan Hug and Dario Tobler, both master growers and experts in genetics, have the distinction of being first-to-market in Switzerland with certified organic, hemp-derived CBD.

GCI Corp. has worked closely with Zitronic over the past year to gain insight into the Swiss and EU markets. “What they are doing with CBD and hemp is incredible and they have deep relationships that extend beyond their border, directly into the EU – a highly desirable footprint that aligns with our global mandate,” said Sean Conacher, CEO of GCI Corp.

Zitronic has also capitalized on the vending-machine culture that exists throughout Europe. “Having these as centralized distribution hubs throughout Switzerland and parts of the EU for their products – and soon, our product – is a cost-effective, branded experience for the consumer,” added Conacher.

GCI Corp. Celebrates legalization of Cannabis with Donation to BC-based Kyla’s Quest

VANCOUVER, CA — October 16, 2018 — On the eve of Canada’s historic legalization of marijuana, Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. (GCI Corp.) marked the occasion by making a donation to British Columbia based Kyla’s Quest, a non-profit resource offering families education, information, emotional support and financial assistance for sick children.

Kyla’s Quest came about as a result of a young girl who suffered from intractable seizures, a form of epilepsy. Her grandmother, Elaine Nuessler, runs the organization and supports families with children like Kyla, providing information, referrals, education and, at times, financial assistance to those looking to medical cannabis as part of their child’s pain management and healing protocol.

“We wanted to give back to the province that is the bedrock of our company, British Columbia. When we heard about Kyla’s Quest, we immediately wanted to support their work,” said Sean Conacher, CEO of GCI Corp. “Legalization to us also means the freedom to research and develop cannabis as a powerful tool to heal and manage pain – and organizations like Kyla’s Quest are doing this work daily, making a huge impact.

In Less Than One Month’s Time, Canada Will Be The First Industrialized Nation To Legalize Cannabis

Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. (GCI) congratulates the Government of Canada on being the first industrialized nation to legalizing cannabis in less than one month’s time. GCI also acknowledges the individuals who have made this milestone possible

TORONTO, ONTARIO / ACCESSWIRE / September 27, 2018 / Legalization of cannabis is a historic accomplishment for Canada – and it positions the country to be a global leader in a rapidly growing industry. Spending on legal cannabis worldwide is expected to reach $57 billion (USD) by 2027, according to Arcview Market Research and its research partner BDS Analytics.

“This landmark decision is not about the sudden legitimacy of cannabis, it’s about access,” said Sean Conacher, CEO of GCI. “Now individuals will be able to decide for themselves if the benefits of cannabis enhance their lives or can be part of a healing protocol – that’s what we’re excited about.”

With the 90-year prohibition of cannabis in Canada coming to an end soon, GCI not only salutes the Canadian government for its progressive policymaking, it recognizes the thousands of Canadians who have endured discrimination, raids and arrests to keep the cannabis movement alive in this country. “Our hats are off to the many early adopters and advocates who persevered to keep the industry moving forward,” said Conacher. “The government pushed it across the finish line, but these people got us into the race to begin with.”
