Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. Acquires Homeblown Glassworks Inc.

TORONTO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 3, 2018 / Global Cannabis Innovators Corp. (GCI), a vertically integrated cannabis company specializing in brand development, announced it has acquired Vancouver-based Homeblown Glassworks Incorporated, parent company of Westone Distribution and PUFF Retail.

Westone’s 6000-plus product SKUs, ranging from pipes to artisanal glass, along with PUFF’s four longstanding brick-and-mortar stores throughout Vancouver add to GCI’s growing presence in the North American cannabis industry. “In acquiring these two legacy businesses, we have captured a vertically integrated manufacturing, wholesale and retail operation with more than 20 years of experience, situated at the heart of a skyrocketing sector,” said Sean Conacher, GCI’s CEO.

As part of the transaction, the cofounders and executive team of Homeblown will remain actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. “They’ve built an amazing community of customers, vendors and partners and we feel really fortunate to be involved,” said Conacher.

GCI will leverage its expertise in cannabis-related retail, branding and finance to further expand Westone Distribution’s manufacturing and wholesale business and PUFF’s retail base.
